Please participate in our "Presents 4 Pets" fundraiser!

This Holiday Season, when you're buying your own much loved and pampered pet a gift, don't forget about the 1000's of homeless pets in CT animal shelters that won't be spending the holidays with a family this year. The "Presents 4 Pets" event is the same for pets as the "Toys 4 Tots" program is for kids! "Presents 4 Pets" is a nationally recognized fundraiser sponsored by the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters to raise awareness and support of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week.

Throughout the month of December, Wagging Tails Pet Sitters are collecting supply donations for shelter animals. Wagging Tails Pet Sitters ask you to contribute by donating pet toys, treats, food, beds, blankets, towels, laundry detergent, bleach, leashes, collars and any other pet related supplies.

Do you have some pet food or treats that your finicky four legged friend just doesn't like? Or toys that they just don't play with anymore? Cleaning out your closets? Don't throw away those old towels or blankets. Call us! We'll take them from you.

To contribute--it's easy! Just contact us to arrange for a Wagging Tails Pet Sitter to come to your home or business and pick up your donated items! Or while we're pet sitting for you, you may leave the items with a note, at your home, for us to collect while we're there.

At the end of December, Wagging Tails Pet Sitters will distribute the much needed items to a local non profit animal shelter.

Don't have any items to donate? During this season of giving, we ask that you find it in your heart to make a monetary donation to the LOCAL non profit animal shelter of your choice. Call us and we will suggest some shelter names and addresses.

Stay tuned---at the end of the month we will give you an update of which shelter(s) were the recipient of "Presents 4 Pets"!

Cans For Critters - Redeem beverage containers to help animals.

WE ARE ASKING YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER:
"CANS FOR CRITTERS"
PLEASE DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR EMPTY BEVERAGE CANS AND BOTTLES! CALL US, WE'LL TAKE THEM AND REDEEM THEM FOR YOU!

We are asking our clients and friends to remember the animals that are less fortunate than our own loved pets. We would like to continue to help to make a difference in the lives of stray and abused animals by asking our clients, their friends, co-workers and family members, to save your empty beverage cans and bottles for collection by your Wagging Tails Pet Sitter. We will redeem all items and make a donation to a local non-profit animal organization. The recipient will be named after it is chosen by the entire Wagging Tails staff. The donation will be made in the name of all clients, friends and staff of Wagging Tails Pet Sitting Service. Please spread the word at work, school, church, etc. The more cans and bottles we redeem, the more $ we raise! We know you'll find this fundraiser convenient and easy for you to participate in!

INSTRUCTIONS: Please place all clean and empty cans/bottles for redemption in sturdy plastic bags. Each beverage container must have a CT refund symbol for redemption.
FOR PICKUP: To arrange pickup at your home, please call the Wagging Tails office at (860) 621-7387, or leave bagged cans/bottles in your home, for your pet sitter to collect while they are pet sitting for you. Wagging Tails Pet Sitters and all the furry, finned and feathered friends that we will be helping want to thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!

Wagging Tails Pet Sitters would like to take the time to thank you for your generous donation and contribution to our 2006 "Cans for Critters" fundraiser. Because of your help, it was a big success! We received a tremendous response and collected nearly 11,000 cans and bottles. We redeemed them to raise over $500.00! Many contributors to our cause also donated supplies to aid a local animal shelter. In addition to cans and bottles, we collected 2 car loads of pet food, toys, blankets, towels, newspapers and other pet supplies.

Cans for Critters is one of our annual fundraisers, so we would like to ask you to start saving your cans and bottles now for our next collection. With your help again we hope to be able to reach our next fundraising goal of doubling this year's numbers. We know you agree that saving cans and bottles is such an easy way to help out our four legged, furry, feathered and finned friends!
